The Dangote Petrochemical Refinery is Africa’s largest single-train refinery and one of the most significant industrial achievements in Nigerian history. A commissioning event of this magnitude had to carry the weight of that moment: the heads of state, the global industry leaders, the ambassadors, the international press. It had to feel historic, because it was.
Industrial events typically default to ceremony over story. But a project of this scale had a narrative bigger than its infrastructure: energy sovereignty, continental ambition, and the proof that Africa could build things the world would notice. The commissioning needed to tell that story, not just mark a date.
