Eko Hotel & Suites had a vision: to become Lagos’ definitive festive destination. But a single event, however well executed, is not a platform. A platform needs to grow, deepen, and surprise its audience year after year, without losing the thread that makes it recognisable.
Shared physical experience, even when physically distanced, is one of the most powerful forces in collective identity. A nation does not need a stadium. It needs a symbol. Something that says: we are here, we endured, and we are still something remarkable together.
Develop Tropical Christmas Wonderland into Africa’s premier festive experience platform. Not a Christmas event that grows. A Christmas world that deepens. Each annual edition builds on the last: new theme, new narrative, new production scale, while maintaining the emotional continuity that turns first-time visitors into annual returners.
Across seven years, Outori developed annual themes and narrative worlds, designed large-scale installations, parades, and performances, and structured the event as a multi-zone destination. The defining creative evolution was Prideland, a living story world inspired by African fantasy and symbolism. The 2025 culmination, Kingdom of Lights, was the most ambitious edition: an Afro-futuristic Christmas realm with illuminated architecture, regal characters, theatrical performances, and procession-led storytelling.
